How to setup numark total control with traktor

Working with digital media for 3 years. I used to be a Virtual DJ addict, but started learning Traktor and fell in love. My Macbook recognizes that the Numark Total Control is plugged in and available to use, however it dosn't turn on or do anything when I'm in Traktor LE. How do I set this up? I played around with the Preferences, but it doesn't seem to do anything I am obviously a total newbie to this. Can someone show me a step by step? It shows up in the box, but I can't do anything to activate.

Can anybody help me? Well, as I see that 40 people have looked but no one wants to help I think I'm just going to return this product. I've spent the last 48 hours trying to get it working and there has been absolutely no progress in addition to their being a lack of information on the basics on the web.
