I have an application which expands rar-files for me. Since I installed that app, the rar files copied the applications icon and use the icon for themselves.

Now the rar files look like the application logo. When I now change the icon of the application, the rar files do not take over the new icon, they keep the old one. My question is, how can I adjust my rar-file's icons to my application icon so both actually match and don't look completely different? If I try to change the icon of one of the rar-files then it changes only that particular one, but I want to change all of them permanently.
