Lenteur windows

I have this problem on my wife's computer which was upgraded to windows 11, 15 days ago, so rolling back to windows 10 is unfortunately not an option, or we would have done so now as the problem is unbearable now. On her Onedrive folders, File Explorer is unusably slow - taking seconds to select files, especially when selecting multiple files.

Using mouse or keyboard makes no difference- the spinning cursor of doom sits there for seconds at a time. The problem seems to be related to the menu at the top of file explorer. If the menu is hidden by pressing F11 to go to fullscreen, then Fine explorer becomes very responsive again , like it was on Windows Unfortunately though this then hides the task bar at the bottom of the screen, so it is necessary to keep switching between fullscreen and non-full screen so other apps can be accessed.

Fortunately I have not upgraded my own PC yet and have no intention to do so for at least a few years given how many bugs seem to be reported for windows With Build we fixed an issue where the command bar was doing unnecessary calculations when navigating to folders, causing an unexpected decrease in performance.

This is also believed to be the root cause of performance issues when using drag to select files, as well as using the arrow keys to navigate in certain folders. Can we please get some certainty on the date?? The only info I have is that they fixed the lagging onedrive explorer with Build , but this is still in Windows Insider's release.

Didn't found the public release date. I am on Build and the issue still persists. Windows Explorer is unusable as long as OneDrive is running. I am on build and the issue is definitely NOT solved.
