Many of the teachers are arrogant and more impressed with proving they can out smart a gifted student or humiliate a learning disabled student than elevating their learning.

The parental atmosphere is notorious in the area for bad sportsmanship. Don't put your child in school at Gabes if the aren't athletic or have interests outside of sports. As a parent, if you want to fit in and want your child to fit in, plan on attending the ACTS retreat. You don't need to go to church, you just have to go on the retreat, so you can make of the closest friends you'll ever have. The ACTS retreat moved into the parish about 8 years ago and took a parish that was already snooty and full of cliques and put God behind those cliques.

It's a beautiful neighborhood with other school options around, wish I'd have used them.
